The New Lotus Evija 2026

The Lotus Evija represents a bold reinvention of the British brand, marking its entry into the hypercar world with a fully electric, performance-first philosophy that stays true to Lotus’s core values of lightness and driver engagement. Powered by four independent electric motors, one at each wheel, the Evija produces close to 2,000 horsepower, enabling explosive acceleration with 0–100 km/h times under three seconds and a top speed limited to around 350 km/h. Built around an ultra-lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque, the car uses advanced aerodynamics, including dramatic Venturi tunnels through the rear, to generate downforce and cooling without excessive drag. Despite its extreme output, the Evija maintains a focused driving experience with precise steering, sophisticated torque vectoring, and multiple drive modes tailored from road use to full track attack. Limited to just 130 units and handcrafted in the UK, the Evija is not only Lotus’s most powerful road car ever, but also a statement that electric hypercars can deliver both cutting-edge technology and genuine driving emotion.
